Geometrical inspection during docking process

Through the monitoring of numerous stable targets on afloat and dry dock conditions, it was feasible the recording of possible gradual deformations because of irregular block basement positioning, as also to preserve the operating hull attitude of the ship (afloat) during repairing works (dry dock - shipyard premises).The whole geodetic approach accurately informs about the conditions of the ship before and after docking and guides shipyard personnel for the proper placement of the ship. It should be referred that a careful ship docking process minimizing serious hull deformations that could disturbing further alignment procedures on ship axial systems.
